In this role, he will be responsible for creating, developing and executing all aspects of product marketing, public relations and corporate branding activities.

O’Brien has more than 20 years of experience in marketing technology companies. Most recently, he served as the vice president of strategic development at Starfish Software, a synchronization and wireless mobility solutions company owned by Motorola. While there, he was responsible for conceiving, planning and deploying new strategic business programs with OEM manufacturers and global wireless operators. He also served on the board of directors for SyncML, Ltd., an initiative formed to develop and advocate a common protocol for synchronizing data among myriad of technologies and devices.

“Over the years, Visto has developed one of the most robust and broadest mobile messaging platforms in the industry, as well as established a “who’s who” list of customers and partners, including Microsoft, Motorola, Palm, Handspring, and Kyocera,” commented Brian Bogosian, chairman, president and CEO, Visto Corp. “Tom’s experience in creating innovative and customer-driven marketing initiatives within the mobility sector will continue to support Visto’s drive to increase revenue growth through the creation of strategic partnerships and global brand awareness.”

The Visto Solution
Visto’s MessageXpress allows users to easily and securely access and manage email on the go, whether they use Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, a POP3 corporate account or an Internet account. Also, with the MessageXpress wireless synchronization feature, email delivered to a user’s mobile device stays consistent with the email account on the desktop. Visto MessageXpress comes in two versions – Internet Email Access for POP3 Internet email accounts, and the Corporate Email Access for Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes corporate email accounts. Both versions are available for a free 30-day trial at www.visto.com.

The Visto Mobile Access Solution, Server Edition, provides complete, secure and cost-effective access to corporate email over a broad array of devices for departmental or enterprise implementations. The product connects to the corporate Microsoft Exchange Server and provides a centralized point of access to administer user accounts, establish synchronization intervals and generate log reports. In addition to its scalability, the Visto Mobile Access Solution comes with a Service Level Agreement for mobile and wireless access on corporate networks, guaranteeing up to 99.9 percent uptime from the managed solution.
